CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH), modified with a drug affinity complex that binds reversibly to serum albumin. The modification is the point of the molecule: unmodified GHRH analogues are cleared within minutes, while the albumin-bound form persists far longer in circulation, which is why it appears in research examining sustained versus pulsatile GHRH receptor signalling.

The sequence is a tetrasubstituted GHRH(1-29) with a maleimidoproprionic acid linker at the C-terminus. The four substitutions resist enzymatic degradation; the linker is what forms the covalent bond to albumin.

Supplied as a lyophilized powder in a sealed vial, sold as a laboratory reference material. Every lot is tested by HPLC and mass spectrometry at an independent laboratory and its certificate is published against the batch number printed on the vial.

Lyophilized powder. The sealed vial is stable at room temperature during transit and can be held in a cool, dry, dark place for short periods. For anything beyond short-term holding, store it refrigerated at 36 to 46°F (2 to 8°C), or frozen at minus 4°F (minus 20°C) or below for long-term storage. Keep it away from light, moisture and heat. Lyophilized material is stable for the period stated on the certificate for the lot.

After reconstitution. Refrigerate at 36 to 46°F (2 to 8°C) and use within the window appropriate to the receiving laboratory's protocol. Do not leave reconstituted material at room temperature, and avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles, which degrade peptide material. Handling and any further storage conditions are the responsibility of the receiving laboratory.
