Growth Hormone Secretagogue Peptides
Two structural families sit under this heading. GHRH analogs follow the releasing-hormone sequence, usually truncated to the first twenty-nine residues and modified at the N-terminus to resist dipeptidyl peptidase cleavage. Ghrelin-receptor peptides are much shorter synthetic sequences that share no homology with GHRH at all.
Grouping them together is a receptor-pathway convention rather than a structural one, which is worth knowing when comparing sequences. If you are matching a certificate to a sequence, check the residue count first: the two families are not close in length.
