Cofactors and Small Molecules
These are not peptides, which is why they sit under compounds rather than under the peptide roots. The group covers a dinucleotide cofactor, a thiol tripeptide, and two synthetic small molecules with no peptide bond in them at all.
Identity confirmation works differently here. For a small molecule the molecular formula and a registry number settle it, where a peptide needs its sequence. Purity conventions differ too: an area-percent figure from HPLC on a small molecule is not directly comparable to a net peptide content figure, so read the method on the certificate before comparing across the two groups.
