Single-Chain Research Peptides
The broadest class on the site, and the one to read carefully, because membership is defined by what these are not: a single unmodified chain, no metal, no second peptide in the vial, no small-molecule scaffold. Several are fragments of a larger parent protein rather than sequences that occur on their own, which is why a registry entry for the parent is often the better identity reference.
Chain length runs from four residues to over forty across this group, so the analytical picture varies with it. On the longer sequences an HPLC trace carries more information than on the short ones, where related-substance peaks are harder to resolve from the main peak.
